Chilean Horses

I was in Chile, on my way to Argentina. We set out early in the morning and stops along the way to see these wild horse. The sun had not yet risen and the early morning frost was still on the ground. I felt like I had captured a special moment between the horses.

The Galapagos Islands

I usually don't photograph animals...but the Galapagos Islands were incredible! Every day we would disembark on a different island and see unbelievable animals everywhere. They had no fear of humans.
The bluefooted boobie...sealions...iguanas...turtles...birds...crabs...it just kept on going. Too many animals to post...but here are a few.

Sally Lightfoot Crab

Darwin's Yellow Finch

Marine Iguanas

These Iguanas looked like The Devil...they were everywhere on the Galapagos...I couldn't resist this shot as it looked like they were posing in front of our boat. These little guys were around by the hundreds on Fernandino Island.

Happy Hour in South America

Every once in a while, you luck out and are at the right place at the right time.
Right after I left the market in Quito, Ecuador....I grabbed a cab...and just as I left the market I drive by these two. Just on it's own, I knew it was a winner with the way they were dressed and the colorful wall in the back ground. As I quickly rolled down the cab window and scrambled for my camera to take the shot, they reached for their beer bottles and toasted...it doesn't get any better than that!

Ecuadorian Boy

Fast Food in Quito

I was on my way to the local market in Quito...and saw this lady selling food.

Little Yellow in Ecuador

The Amish Country

I had a wonderful opportunity to travel to the Amish Country in October. These people are fascinating...it was quite hard to take pictures because they do not like it. I had to be sneaky. Experiencing this really makes you wonder about what life would be like.....

The Nation's First Penitentiary

I took a tour of Eastern State Penitentiary in Philly....really creepy...felt haunted...this shot gives a little of the feel.

Solitude

I grabbed this shot during a city tour of Philly....the sun was setting..the city park was getting dark except the light that was coming in between two buildings...only hitting the fountain...made for a great effect.

Cruising down the Nile...you see so many villages and can just watch life go by... this is a women sitting out her deck in a nightgown....

I didn't quite know what this man thought about me taking his picture. He was a guard in the Valley of the Kings... I just took the picture quickly and got out of there.

Nubian Boy

As you travel into Upper Egypt (which is actually south) you encounter the Nubian race...darker skin...the children are fantastic.

Spices and Dyes at the Market in Aswan

So many colors..........

Those Eyes...

It was hard getting this close for photos of the Egyptian women, but they great to photograph...this girl was working at a store selling Egyptian cotten sheets and was willing to stand by the window as I took her picture.
